Organizational Back ground & Introduction:
Human Development Organization (HDO) is a Non-Governmental and Non-Profit developmental Organization, established in March 2009, with the aim of taking innovative steps to uplift marginalized and less developed communities facing poverty, hunger, disease and injustice across Pakistan in general and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and newly merged Districts of erstwhile FATA in Particular without any discrimination of race, caste, religion, culture and social status.
HDO got registered under Pakistani Laws, recognized and granted certificate by Pakistan Center for Philanthropist as Non-Profit Organization (NPO) and signed a MoU with Economic Affair Division (EAD) to carry out work and receive foreign funding. HDO is an active filer with FBR and has tax exemption status under section 2(36) (c) RTO Peshawar. Moreover, HDO has also been granted active membership by Give2Asia, a charity organization in the USA, UNICEF Wash cluster, SUNCSA-Pak (scaling up nutrition civil society alliance Pakistan), FANSA (fresh-water Action network south Asia Pakistan), SSDN (sustainable development network), FAFEN (free and fair election network) and INEED (inclusive network of electoral education & democracy).
Since the establishment of HDO community based Education, Health, Environment, Agriculture Development, Governance, Capacity Building, Gender Equality, Advocacy, are the major objectives for the ultimate alleviation of poverty and disaster emergency relief and rehabilitation assistance as well. Community Organization/ mobilization and Human Resource development, participatory approach, conducting series of dialogue with community for introducing development program are the key tools for sustainability and valuable working principal of HDO.
HDO has ample outreach to the target group, civil society, academia, private sector and government institutions in the proposed geographical location. The organization has already a competent staff and well organized policies to effectively implement the project activities. Every year external audit is conducted for accountability to its stake holder. HDO has over the year provided technical and financial support to more than thousand families across Pakistan. HDO strive to empower communities with financial, leadership and skill development programs that prepare women and youth for future challenges

Organization Structure
HDO has well organizational structure which is based on independent system and participatory dealings and working on day-to-day business of the organization. The Board of directors supervised the organization and offers the technical guidance and vision to the organization as per rules and policies of the organization. All development programs in HDO are directed and supervised by the chief executive officer who is responsible for the efficient and effective functioning of the organization as per rules and regulations. The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for assisting the senior staff management and support staff for smooth and active implementation of program activities of the organization.
